What would your cardboard say?

Week 4 of the Sync series (May 2-3rd), we are being asked to participate in our own illustration of the sample above. I'm asking all of you to consider taking part and being willing to tell your story in a way that encourages others to take that first step toward Christ. (The next weekend will be the call to Salvation weekend.)

My cardboard would say "Let others tell me who I should be"
flip over and "Let Christ show me who I really am"

What would your cardboard say?

Don't Miss the Next Meeting!

Coming April 23rd in the Heir Force Room!

6-7pm kids
7-9pm adults

We have some exciting things coming up and have a cool, collaborative project to do as a team for the end of the Sync series! Hope you can all make it!

The Next Level

Hurt from Granger Community on Vimeo.

I don't know about you, but watching Paul in his play and Greg in action this weekend makes me realize God is calling us to the next level of acting and refining the excellence of our art in a way that glorifies Him. Who's with me?

Oh, and if you missed Paul's play, you can still go tomorrow at 3pm or next weekend. It's incredible and Paul's incredible in it! For those of you who went through the Boleslavski training with us last year, this is your chance to see it in action! Hope you can all make it to one of the times! See http://www.sbct.org/ for more info.

"...now that we're at our best, just think of how our lives will expand and deepen by means of his resurrection life! Now that we have actually received this amazing friendship with God, we are no longer content to simply say it in plodding prose. We sing and shout our praises to God through Jesus, the Messiah!" Romans 5:10-11

Meeting Field Trip!

We talked about this at the last meeting, but just wanted to send out a reminder. This month’s meeting will be a little different. (No Kids meeting this month!) This thursday March 26th, we’ll meet at the church at 7pm like usual to talk a bit in the atrium, then carpool over to South Bend Civic Theater to see Paul in his opening night of “Sunset Limited”. Feel free to bring spouses for a date night! Tickets are $17. (Pricey but worth it!) See synopsis below. Hope to see you all there! Let’s support Paul, local theater, and experience some great thought-provoking drama together!

Synopsis:Mind-expanding theatre at its best. Black, an African-American Christian, is an optimist, determined to “save” White and inspire him toward Jesus. White is a male Caucasian atheist, educated college professor, total pessimist, whose belief that life is such a bleak existence that we are better off dead leads him to leap off a train platform in front of The Sunset Limited. But he mysteriously ends up in the arms of Black, who takes White back to his apartment for a talk. And the debate begins.

Sounds awesome! Hope to see you all there!

Drama team means Business! (time)

Foreplay Redefined from Granger Community on Vimeo.

Cohabitation from Granger Community on Vimeo.

Great job, Kyle and Lisa in the "Other Vows" drama and media (produced by Ben Sanders) this weekend. Kyle's expressions during Beeson's vows were priceless! Leslie Miller, makeup artist extroadinaire also did an excellent job making Lisa into the beautiful blushing bride. Thanks, Leslie! Also great job to the other hilarious media called "Redefining Foreplay" with Mark and Kem Meyer, produced by Jeff Petersen. My cheeks still hurt from laughing so hard at Mark eating that chip and vacuuming under the ottoman. These elements combined with some great music and an inspiring/challenging message made for a great weekend. Well done, team!

Voice Talent!

So you were probably wondering who was the amazing voice talent behind the statistics video and the "My Story" video this weekend.
Answer: Sarah Rulli and Jim Greulich

(click on their names to read more)

You may even recognize Jim as the voice of Martin's! We are incredibly blessed to have his talent on our team!

Sarah even did her voice over 2 days after giving birth to a beautiful baby boy named Silas! (pictured below)

Financial Peace Dramas, round 2!

Tom and Sherry kicked off the first of a series of four dramas about a couple going through the Dave Ramsey class and all the challenges they face. This is round 2 as Lisa and Kyle did the last one. It's an awesome "me, too" ministry where the students in the class have permission to be real about their situations b/c we as a team have taken some time to offer them that opportunity with excellent, authentic, and relavant drama that speaks right to their experience. Great stuff and great job Tom and Sherry! (wow, just realized how funny that sounds due to the old cartoons...) : )

"Unsaid" but said so well!

Join me in applauding Amy in her incredible performance in the live monolog this weekend as well as great performances by Kelly Geisel and Jackie C and family in the media behind. Also thanks to Ryan, Alli, Steph, Dave, and Judy in the "Tears of the Saint" media. What an incredible weekend! Great job, everyone!
