Small Groups

Please share here your honest thoughts about the small group idea of once a month in the second week:

Do you have time? Is this something that excites you or drains you? What will be the rewards? Would some of your prefer the blog to small groups? Vice versa? Should we expand this to the OPA team as well and include all people involved in drama upstairs and down? Let me know your thoughts. Your voice matters.

My only concern with small group is making sure everyone is committed. It's tough enough to get all together for our monthly meetings. The members of the drama team are all leaders and doers in other areas in the church and are also responsible to work and family...if a small group consists of 3-4 people and only 2 are able to make the fellowship time it won't work. I do like the idea of helping the team become more intimate and encouraging lifting each other up in prayer...okay, I've said enough, anyone else?

It would be difficult for me to fit in another Monday night during the month - Mondays are already a challenge. I would rather try to do a short small group meeting before or after our regular team meeting, right there in the building. That way, no one has to host (that drains me, anyway!), it's a location we're going to anyway for the scheduled meeting, and it doesn't require blocking out another night of the week.

I personally think the OPA team should have their own small groups, as they'll maybe have more in common, ministry-wise.

Just my 2 cents... :)

Small groups would be tough on my end- I think our scripts we've been working on and performing in our monthly meetings have been very helpful- It's been good training/stretching and it's helpful to see various roles of people on our team to see their range, etc. I like this blog- I'll commit to giving more input and feedback as sometimes it seems to be light- maybe more of us can press into this? I'm game. Thanks for all that you do KB-

I'm honestly not a huge "small group" person - I would probably enjoy an optional team activity like going to a movie and discussing or eating a meal together every once in awhile intead. Or if we do have some small group time, I'd rather have it before or after our current monthly meeting too, rather than adding another Monday during the month to the list...

I like meeting before or after and Lisa's idea of an occasional supper or a movie.
